YOUTH WORKSHOP
Bishop Ed & The Church Workshop Choir (CWC) are proud to include a youth division. Currently, there are many youth departments that are struggling with new ideas to keep the young people on a Christian track and others that are all but nonexistent because of participation or quality personnel. We want to provide you with an annual activity that is local and exciting: a workshop that is just for Christian youths and young people - ages 10-18.
This year, we are offering 4 areas of participation for each child to choose from choir, boy's step, praise dance or praise dance. Each area will be governed by an instructor who is saved, professional, and, most of all, anointed! Rehearsals will be intense as our goal is to present an offering to the Lord and the public that is of excellence, one that we can be proud of.
Currently, there are no other organizations like CWC that are bringing together multiple faiths on a local level. We are extremely excited about the vision because the greater Houston area encompasses more than six million people. Traveling across the country can be extremely expensive and preclude those who just can't afford it, but CWC is literally in all of our backyards. It could also be the perfect opportunity for many young people to gain the experience of hotel living because CWC is local. (Hotel information below.)
Just as unique, we are culminating the youth workshop with a concert and live video and recording session. How many of our young people have such an experience that can inspire and motivate them to reach further? Well, we are providing the opportunity for you parents, pastors, youth pastors, and youth directors to make an additional imprint on the lives of the young people you love!
As this is our first year, we are keeping our overhead to a manageable point. As of today, our venue is limited in space. Be sure to note the maximum participation number in each area. Participants will be received on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once we reach capacity, registration will be closed for that area. We cannot promise you a reopening or any extension, as it would require a change of venue. Scroll down further to find more information on each ministry area and we'll see you at the workshop!

Girls & Boys Step Workshop

Well, the girls want to step too! Participants will undergo dynamic practices, learning 2 original routines, step techniques, and professional presentation.
Rehearsals are Monday through Thursday. The concert video and live recording are scheduled for Friday morning at 10:00A. Uniform will be workshop t-shirts and jeans. It is an open video and recording session, so family, friends, and church members are invited.
Once we have reached capacity, this area will be closed to future registrations.
Youth Choir Workshop

Maximum Participants: 98 of 99 Left
Sopranos (33), Altos (33), Tenors (32)
During registration, each child must be assigned a section - soprano, alto, or tenor. Each section will be closed once it reaches full capacity.
Participants will undergo vigorous choir rehearsals, learning 4 original songs, stage presence, and singing communications. Rehearsals are Monday through Thursday. The concert video and live recording are scheduled for Friday morning at 10:00A. Uniform will be workshop t-shirts and jeans. It is an open recording, so family, friends, and church members are invited.
YOUTH DONOR SPONSORSHIP
For many of the young people who will be participating in the Church Workshop Choir, it is their first time experiencing an event of this magnitude, and we need your help to make it a memory of a lifetime. We are keeping the registration low and starting the marketing early to give families (especially those with multiple children) an opportunity to budget for the workshop.
We are encouraging youth ministries to strongly consider a group hotel stay, as we have several hotels - around seven mile radius from the church. We are providing transportation for anyone who needs a ride from the hotel and back. We are also providing lunch for all the participants to help parents with some of the cost. Workshop t-shirts will double for uniforms, thereby subtracting an additional cost from the total need.
We are looking to generate an additional $5,000 so we can be a blessing to the families and churches that are participating. Would you please consider donating whatever amount of your choosing to support the vision of sponsoring some children, helping us feed them, and ferrying them to and fro? Hotel
The hotels provided below are within a seven-mile radius. If you are looking for a place to stay during the workshop, we have a list of hotels that offer reasonable rates and amenities for our attendees. Whether you prefer a cozy bed and breakfast, a luxurious suite, or a budget-friendly option, you can find a hotel that suits your needs and preferences. You can also enjoy free Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast, shuttle service, and access to fitness centers and pools at most of these hotels. We are not providing special rates. You may book directly with the hotel of your choice. The hotels provided below are within a seven-mile radius.
Praise Dance Workshop

Maximum Participants: 50
Participants will undergo strict practices, learning 2 original routines, praise & worship dance techniques, and presentation.
Rehearsals are Monday through Thursday. The concert video and live recording are scheduled for Friday morning at 10:00A. Because praise dance is such a unique ministry, uniforms are still being discussed, but will NOT require additional financial obligation as long as participants already have a church praise dance uniform. It is an open video and recording session, so family, friends, and church members are invited.

Drama Workshop
Space is limited.
Maximum Participants: 20
In a drama class, you will participate in various activities, such as improvisation, role-playing, and storytelling. You will also learn how to use your voice, body, and emotions to express yourself on stage. A drama class will help you develop your confidence, communication, teamwork, and creativity skills.
A drama class for young people is a fun and creative way to learn about theater and acting. The youths will participate in various activities, such as improvisation, role-playing, storytelling, and presentation.
Rehearsals are Monday through Thursday. The concert video and live recording are scheduled for Friday morning at 10:00A. Participants will wear their workshop t-shirts during their presentation. Should they need an additional wardrobe, it will be provided by the workshop. It is an open video and recording session, so family, friends, and church members are invited.
